Turquoise

Turquoise is an opaque blue-green stone that has been prized for thousands of years.  It has been known by many names though out those years but the Turquoise dates back to the 17th Century and is derived from the French word turquois for 'Turkish' due to the stone being introduced to Europe though Turkey along the famous Silk Road.  Turquoise is one of the oldest gemstones, known to be used by Ancient Egyptians, Persians and the Aztecs.

By far the most popular stone at our Brighton stall, we use a variety of sources to bring you a vast range of colour ways from light blue to darker green, with flecks of brown and black.  As Turquoise is a naturally occurring stone each piece is unique and although every effort will be taken to find a specific colour way for you it may not be possible as each of our designs uses differently sourced Turquoise.

The jewellery below can all be made using Turquoise, take a look!
