There are many wonderful reasons to live and work in the amazing city of Brighton & Hove. We've put together just a few of those reasons, along with our musings on the unique culture and atmosphere of the North Laine in this blog for you to enjoy.
Too many people explain the environment here as 'London by the sea', but never has a phrase been used so freely. The overall comparison is simple and correct, a large city, with many commuters and businesses, but simply uprooted from the mainland and plonked with a splash on the pebbled beaches. But London has nothing on us.
The North Laine in particular, shows so much diversity in so many different areas. The vast amount of unique fashion choices, ways of living and general outrageousness is unrivalled in our eyes. From the day to day hustle and bustle of the leather-clad, pierced, tattooed and branded rockers, to the psychedelic outfits of 'Slow James'.
If you live here or have frequented the North Laine on any kind of basis, no doubt you will have been given a generous glimpse of James' ever-expanding wardrobe. He never fails to impress, with his perfectly styled hair, more often than not, sporting a vintage pair of cowboy boots and a suit in the most amazing patterns and shapes. As his nickname suggests, Slow James walks at a pace which would rival a snail on a cold day, thus giving passers by a long look into his exquisite fashion sense. We love you, James!
